Sunday Question

I hope you had a Christ-exalting time at the worship service of your church this morning. For today's Sunday question: What was your pastor's sermon about? Be sure to give the Scripture as well! Look forward to hearing from you!

Evangelism. Following Christ allows us to see a new thing and grow in Him. Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ. John 1:35-51.

Church service on our state today were all cancelled due to the snowstorm again. But our church always ha a series and we started last week with "Unhectic-fy Your Life" ---teaching us to put more on relationship with God and not on unimportant matters that take away our relationships with others.

sounds like good stuff. Sorry, bingkee, that the snow cancelled serviced. I preached on Mark 3:7-12 today looking at the identity of Jesus as told by a demon. Ended by emphasizing that Jesus did not permit the demon to share this truth b/c it isn't the job of the demons to do evangelism and missions, it's ours!

Comparing Peter and Judas - Judas, with the good intentions, received the blessings, and experienced the power of healing, but he was using them for his own reasons, being selfish and self-centered. Matthew 27:1-5, Acts 1:16-20, John 12:1-6, John 13:21-30

Peter, though he declared he would die for his Lord, denied Him - and when Peter had convicted himself of not being a true disciple, Jesus (through an angel) reassured Peter that he was, indeed, still loved. Matt16:21-24, Matt26:31-35, Matt26:57-75, Mark16:3-7

(Pastor likes to use lots of scripture)
